Stalley and Churchill-Coleman lead the way for Modernian

Bedford Modernian youngsters returned from the Milton Keynes gala with a plethora of medals.

Nick Stalley led the way with 11 medals, including five golds, while Lucy Churchill-Coleman claimed 10, with six golds.

Hayley Alcock did the double in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, while Kelly Johnson and Charlotte Ovenden matched each other with seven medals – four gold – apiece.

Andy Wheeler won four silvers and a bronze, Ash Wareing snared a silver and three bronzes, Josh Steel and Nicola Pasquire collected a silver and bronze each and Jamie Douglas a bronze.

David Carline won gold in the 100m butterfly to go with a brace of bronze medals, Will Greenall snared a bronze, as did Valentina Hargrave, while Nuala Maher and Jess Stalley won two silvers, and a silver and bronze, respectively.
