Sweden beckons for handball stars

Beauchamp pupils target World Handball Championships


Beauchamp Middle School are aiming to compete in the World Handball Championships in Sweden in July.

The team, who only started playing the sport a few months ago, are currently ranked second in the National Junior League under the tutelage of team coach and head of year David Clay.

The sport of handball, which is big in mainland Europe, will make an appearance at the 2012 Olympics in London.

The side are looking for support to enable them to make the trip to Scandinavia. Anyone who would like to help should contact Alison Marino on 07976 888762.
