Runners-up spot for Wheldon
IndyCar racer third in championship standings
Dan Wheldon had to settle for a second place finish behind Target Chip Ganassi team-mate Scott Dixon at the Nashville Superspeedway in the rain-shortened Firestone Indy 200 on Saturday.
The former Bedford School pupil, who started sixth on the grid and recorded his eighth top-five finish of the IndyCar season, said: "I absolutely did not (have a second-place car tonight), but sometimes it's better to be lucky than good."
Dixon currently leads the IndyCar standings with Wheldon 69 points back in third behind Helio Castroneves. Next up for Wheldon is the Honda Indy 200 in Mid-Ohio on Saturday.
