Star Club rower in the medals at the European Indoor Championships
Veteran Star Club rower Dian Macdonald-Smith won silver at the European Indoor Championships in Essen, Germany at the weekend.
She was competing in the women's 50-59 category in a field of seven competitors and pipped only by ex-Olympic champion, Jutta Abromeit.
In other Star Club news, a veteran D 8+ crew achieved the fastest time of the day at the Head of the Nene in Northampton.
The crew, consisting of David Rainbow, Nigel Brewer, Ian Taylor, Simon Lamb, Simon White, Ivan Higgins, Maurice Stanbridge, Simon Clark and cox Martine Moon, won their veteran C/D 8+ category in a time of 06:32mins to notch up their second win of the season.
