Village cricketers in Bedfordshire are ready to take on an all-star cricketing side in a challenge match on Thursday, July 23.
The famous Lashings XI - made up of former cricketing internationals including several World Cup finalists - are making the journey to Eversholt.
The village club has been busy preparing for the big day which will allow cricketers to pit their skills against great names of the game - and spectators the chance to meet them too.
The exact Lashings side has yet to be confirmed but the squad includes Richie Richardson, Chris Harris, Rashid Latif, Herschelle Gibbs, Chris Cairns, John Emburey, Greg Blewett, Tino Best, Russel Arnold, Marvan Atapattu, Sanath Jayasuriya and Jimmy Adams.
Entrance is per programme, costing £5 for adults and £3 concessions.
Parking is available on the day with a charge of £5 for cars and £20 for minibus.
Food, drink and merchandise are all available on the day, including a barbecue, beer and a stall featuring Choice Willow products. Lashings players will be pleased to sign autographs.
Gates open at 12.30pm with the 35 over game beginning at 2.30pm.
