Departures aren't linked say FMC

Bedford Town have announced that both manager Stuart Bimson and Football Management Committee (FMC) Dave Thomas chairman have resigned their positions with immediate effect.

Bimson has left to take up a first team coaching role at Blue Square Premier outfit Cambridge United, while Thomas has quit for 'personal reasons'.

A club statement read: "The FMC would like to stress that the resignation of Stuart Bimson and Dave Thomas are not linked in any way."

More soon.
