Road closed as emergency services help free trapped driver after car flips on its side


A woman had to be rescued from her car on Sunday (August 17), after the vehicle she was driving was involved in a road traffic accident in Midland Road, Bedford.

The incident happened at 5.55pm outside the Paddington pub, and involved the female driver of a turquoise Seat which ended up on its side.

The road was temporarily closed as three vehicles from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene to help in the rescue.
