New arrival of an endangered species makes her bow at safari park.

Breeders at Woburn Safari Park are walking tall after the birth of a second Rothschild giraffe calf in the space of five months.

The female was born on Saturday, March 15, and made her public debut five days later.

Rangers have not yet named her, but it will begin with an 'I' – in keeping with all the animals born in the hoofstock section this year.

Mother Savannah is already an experienced mum, and dad Doto is
curious about the latest arrival. Staff at the park have described the calf's birth as a major success for the breeding programme of these critically endangered animals.

Have you had an annual pay rise in the last 12 months?
Yes, a whopper, thanks for asking.
A small one, but it has hardly covered the increased costs of living.
Not this year, I'm afraid.
What's an annual pay rise? I can't remember the last time I had one.
