Man in court on multiple charges

He was remanded in custody to appear at Luton Crown Court




A man has been charged following a series of complaints on Wednesday, May 14, including one of a woman being dragged from her Renault in Bedford's Lurke Street car park and being robbed of the vehicle.

Emmanuel Buckland, 33, of Stratton Way, Biggleswade, was arrested on Thursday by members of the Greyfriars-based Priority Crime Investigation Team and charged early on Friday.

The charges nclude one of robbery, two counts of burglary, one of criminal damage, one of making leaving an accident, having no insurance, taking a vehicle with out consent and having no driving licence.

He appeared at Bedford Magistrates Court today, Friday, May 16, and was remanded in custody to appear at Luton Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
