Man robbed of lover's engagement ring
A student on his way to propose to his girlfriend was attacked by an armed gang as he walked along the riverbank on Wednesday (July 15).

The man was walking home from college on the cycle path behind the Charles Wells brewery when he was stopped by three men who held a knife to his stomach.

They made off with £300 in cash as well as his mobile phone and the engagement ring.

One of the men was black aged around 20-30 with very distinctive ginger coiled 'rasta-style' hair. He was around six foot tall and wearing a black Adidas jacket.

His accomplices were both asian, one was sporting a well trimmed, fashionable beard and the other was described as having a fat face.
Both men were aged between 22 and 30.

Anyone who recognises the descriptions or has any information about the robbery is asked to call DC Ian Johnson on 01234 275351
