Asthma sufferer last seen after attending appointment at Bedford Hospital south wing
Concerns are growing for a woman who has not been seen by her family since last Thursday, May 8.
Margaret McLaughlin has severe asthma and was last seen at Bedford Hospital South Wing where she had gone for an assessment.
The 52-year-old from Dublin was visiting her cousin, who lives in Bedford, but has not contacted her family here or in Ireland since 10am on Thursday.
She is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, of very heavy build with brown shoulder length hair and an Irish accent. She was wearing a yellow vest top, black leggings and a gold bracelet on her left arm.
Sgt Ian McBrearty, missing person co-ordinator, said: "We don't believe Margaret has her inhaler with her and she is unfamiliar with Bedford and the surrounding area.
"Her family here, and in Ireland, are understandably extremely worried and it is important anyone who sees her, or knows her whereabouts, gets in touch.
"It may be that Margaret has things on her mind and feels she needs some space to herself. If so, we need her to contact us in confidence so we can establish she is safe and well."
Anyone with information should contact Sgt McBrearty, in confidence, on 01582 473134, or Bedfordshire Police's main switchboard on 01234 841212. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
