Parish plan findings revealed
Extra police to tackle anti social behaviour and fears about overdevelopment have been identified as the key issues for residents in Bromham.
The Bromham Parish Plan has been put together over the last 18-months and is a wide-ranging survey of the views of villagers.
Bromham Parish Council chairman David Coopersaid: "People like living in Bromham as a village, but are worried about the possibility of large scale development.
"A lot of people feel the village is as big as it should be.
"Like all villages we suffer from anti-social behaviour. The survey shows people feel safe in their homes and walking around but a lot of people feel they are victims of anti-social behaviour and do not get the attention of the police they deserve."
Nearly 1,300 residents responded to the questionnaires used to compile the plan.
The parish council will now form a sub committee to address the issues highlighted in the plan. It will also be working with Bedford Borough Council and Beds Police to address areas outside its remit.
