Vandals cause £600-worth of damage to a Bromham shop

Vandals who caused £600-worth of damage to a Bromham shop have been blasted by the store's manager who said it was the worst graffiti he had seen in five years.

Yobs targeted the Budgens store on Stagsden Road, Bromham, in the early hours of Saturday, June 20, covering the shopfront with graffiti.

Store manager Steven Franklin said: "I was the first person to arrive that morning and seeing the shopfront like that made me angry, frustrated and disappointed.

"Even though it is cleaned up, the walls are still stained and the damage is the worst I have seen in five years."

Bromham Council cleaned up the damage on Friday, leaving Budgens with a £600 bill.

Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the incident.

Officers have met with the local parish council and other community members.

A reward of £300 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
