Fire spread from outside the building
A home in Yeovil Road, Luton, was burnt out following a huge blaze in the early hours of Tuesday, July 22.
Fire crews rushed to the scene shortly after 4am to find flames in the empty two-storey semi-detached house, which was vacated last week.
Luton fire station commander Kevin Moores said: 'It's looking like the fire spread from the outside into the building and then severely damaged 100 per cent of the ground floor and 50 per cent of the first floor.'
The entire house also suffered 100 per cent heat damage.
It took firefighters an hour to deal with the flames and a further four hours of damping down - they were still at the scene at 9am.
Nobody was in the house when the fire started and the electrics were switched off.
Fire officers are investigating the cause of the fire.
