Wall chat helped pave way for Mawson’s Hatters move

The duo were at Maidenhead together last season, and a catch-up before Luton’s development game with Mawson’s parent club Brentford helped paved the way.
He said: “I knew Alex from last year, he was telling me what it’s like before I came down.

Hide Ad“We (Brentford) had a friendly against Luton about three or four months ago and I talked to him then.
“He said if you can come here, it would be a really good place to come down to.
“I thought it would be fantastic if I could get the opportunity and thankfully I did.”
Boss John Still described Mawson as a typical centre half prior to his debut at Alfreton and that was a tag the defender wants to live up to.
